About Us

Plasti-Coil has been a leading provider of injection molded plastic parts and component assemblies for almost 40 years.  Larry Austin of Walworth, Wisconsin and his wife Joanne purchased Plasti-Coil in July of 2015 and now have purchased Tri-Tec Corporation another plastics company that currently resides in Darien, Wisconsin.  Mr. Austin has been in the plastic business for over 30 years.

A ground breaking ceremony was held on Thursday, June 8th, at the Lake Geneva office to add an addition to the Plasti-Coil building.  We plan to merge the two environments into our beautiful facility located in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, yet run each as a separate entity.

The addition of Tri-Tec will add another layer of expertise while further expanding the capabilities of both organizations.

The goal is to grow the companies by working with existing customers and continue to be their preferred plastic supplier.  “We want to be partners with our customers in any area that adds value to our partnership, to grow our business and create jobs in the United States,”  stated Austin.

PLASTI-COIL ACQUIRES TRI-TEC CORP

Plasti-Coil, Inc. located in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin is pleased to announce that it has acquired Tri-Tec Corporation located in Darien, Wisconsin.

Tri-Tec was founded in 1976 by F. Carroll Jones who managed the company until his son, David C. Jones took over ownership and management in 1988.  Currently Tri-Tec has 23 molding machines and a complete tool room with capabilities to design and build molds.  Tri-Tec is a custom plastic injection molder with expertise in producing gears and precision plastic components, as well as internal and external threads, secondary operations including hot stamping, pad printing and ultrasonic welding.

Plasti-coil, Inc. was purchased in July 2015 by long time plastics executive Larry Austin.  Austin stated that he is extremely happy to acquire Tri Tec and to work with the excellent management teams in place at each company.  The addition of Tri-Tec will add another layer of expertise while further expanding the capabilities of both organizations.  Austin went on to explain that his mission is to maintain production in Wisconsin and to grow these two companies.  “We plan to merge the two enterprises into our beautiful facility located in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, yet run each as a separate entity”.  Customers will continue working with the same staff that they had been prior to the acquisition.  The two companies will be able to take advantage of each other’s area of expertise, all in an effort to improve the customer’s experience while continuing to provide high quality injection molded products manufactured in the United States.

Austin plans to grow the company by working with existing customers and continuing to be their preferred plastic supplier.  “We want to be partners with our customers in any area that adds value to our partnership, to grow our business and create jobs in the United States,” stated Austin.
